The impetuous behind this post originally was to collect in one spot the scores of all season’s new shows and link back to the individual impression posts so non-frequent readers could see at-a-glance all the shows that I reviewed. This time around, I’m going to do that and add a bit more information about the season as a whole.
By my count, I only have seven more spring shows that still need a first impressions post written after this one and I think this is the last fantasy hack-n-slash anime for the season. 🙂 Tears to Tiara is a visual novel adaptation with the source material created by the same people that did Utawarerumono (or Underwater Ray Romano as I remember it).
Just within the last few days, winter’s frigid fingers have finally loosened their grip around where I live. We had been experiencing high temperatures well below freezing and that’s not conducive to getting in the spring mindset. Yesterday we got into the 50’s and today our high was 65˚F (18˚C); I finally feel like spring is on the way and with spring, comes a new season of anime.
There’s definitely several good shows this season, but after two stellar seasons I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. Since I will probably end up watching a fewer number of shows, maybe I’ll get to some of my backlog. Or maybe a bunch of these shows will surprise me. My criteria for picking shows is the same as last time. I’m looking for which animation house is doing it, if the summary/source material sound very enticing and if one of my favorite seiyuus will be involved.
