Even with my opinion of Bones thawing into something resembling positivity, I almost passed up My Hero Academia aka Boku no Hero Academia because it reminded me too much of Heroman. (I’m sorry if that name just made your gorge rise and doubly sorry if you had just been eating as you read that name.)
I don’t remember when I consciously decided to give My Hero Academia a chance; though, I have a feeling seeing the character designs mightily helped it’s cause.

I feel that I’m somewhat late getting here but I have beaten the APR Top Anime of 2015 list so I can’t say that I’m late. 🙂 I’ll repeat what I said last year because it still holds: 2015 was a good year for anime. It’ll take several years to see how things settle out before one is able to compare it to earlier years but I think it’ll rank just fine in comparison.
I didn’t feel like splitting the countdown into two or three parts like I normally do, so, this post runs a bit long but it’s all here in one post.

There’s a running joke in Shirobako about how the director will tell every department involved in making the anime that they are the most important in ensuring that the anime turns out good. To be honest I had an entirely different plan for today’s moment but that got thrown out the window as I watched the final episode of (what will hopefully be the first season of) One Punch Man today.
It pretty much left me a pile of jelly goo from awesomeness overload. It’s been several hours now and my brain is starting to think coherent thoughts again and my bones have reasserted their dominance over my physical form. My equilibrium still feels off, so please bear with me.
That I include this final episode of One Punch Man is beyond question, but, the question to me was how. I still stand by my statement that the previously talked about scene from Hibike! Euphonium is the best animated television scene from 2015 so I can’t just call out the animation.

Is it wrong to be more hyped and excited over the Independence Day sequel than the impending Star Wars sequel?
And will all that hype and excitement ultimately hurt my appreciation of Independence Day and help the Star Wars movie when I eventually see it (probably on rent from Netflix or Redbox)?
