The reason for this page is twofold. The first is that I wanted a better method to show the past blog posts of The Null Set then the current small drop-down box that just states the month, year, and number of entries. The second was that I wanted newer readers of The Null Set the chance to see a hand-picked listing of my favorite entries from the past that they might have missed.

Anime Year in Reviews
I conceived of these posts as a way to spotlight those anime worthy of watching from the past year. I consider these probably the most important posts I write about anime which makes the skipped years infuriating as I look back at my past selves. Oh well, maybe I’ll try to fill in the gaps someday.

Editorials
Or call them rants. As opposed to so many long term anime fans, I don’t like spending the majority of the time complaining about anime to the point one wonders why the complainer spends time being a fan of something that they dislike so much. That’s not to say I never go negative. To be fair, not all of these editorials are necessarily negative in tone, but, I thought I should mention the general difference in tone between these pieces and other pieces like my top anime of the year posts. Listed below are some of my favorite and/or noteworthy editorials I’ve written.
- Aang the anti-Avatar
- Thoughts on Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Anime Quizzes
Winter generally is a miserable time of the year. For the winter season of 2015, I wanted to take my mind off the season and apply some of the useless anime knowledge I’d gleaned, so, I conceived of a project where I’d make a weekly 15 question anime quiz covering many different areas of anime. Here are those weekly quizzes and their weekly answer posts.

Non-Anime Content
Sometimes my attention wanders from anime and I find myself writing about something else. These meanderings are normally related to science fiction because of my tagline – ” A blog about anime with a little SF thrown in” – but, I sometimes go completely off-topic.

If you are looking for a more in-depth archive then the links below might be helpful. Each year links to a page where I break that year down into months and display a greater number of noteworthy articles than I did above.
2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 – in progress
