Anime Series Review

When I get interested in watching a show after it has finished airing, I often want to know if it’s worth my time but most bloggers don’t spend much time talking about a show that was on 3 years ago or even 3 seasons ago. If I come across a show on certain blogs like Hop Step Jump! or Derailed by Darry (Anime on my Mind), for example, and it’s highly praised than chances are I’ll like the series as well. And while i don’t think I’ve been around long enough or write good enough for anyone to really respect my opinion, I thought if I make it easy for people to quickly see how I felt about shows – even older shows – then it might be helpful to someone.

Therefore, for this page, I’m going to state the show, give it’s final score, and link to the origin blog entry if the reader wants to know more then just the score. And while I’d like to make a sortable list, i’ll just have to set it up to be sorted by final score.

Oh, that’s nice :) You can add more reviews to this page as you write more :)

Also since the list will be long eventually, it might be helpful to include brief categorization of the series such as romance, drama, slice-of-life, etc. Usually shows fall under several categories. This might help users to navigate the list.

I really like your reviews and having been using your ratings for a while.

I agree with the previous reply, higurashi no naku koro ni is amazing and unique. Its the only anime/movie/any media that genuinely creeps me out and can only be watched past midnight, without the lights on :)

A quote from another source to get you interested:
“Watching Higurshi is like locking a group of happy people in a test chamber, only coming back to find they’ve hacked each other into a bloody mess. Its horrific, its shocking, and yet a part of you, cannot help but wonder, how did it happen?

The curiosity takes over… and so you repeat the experiment, knowing full well that those cute looking teenagers you just sent are going to end up as bloody pulps. But hey, at least each time they die, you’re one step closer to figuring out why they died, it’s all good.”

Code geass and elfen lied are also worthy of a watch.

    Cheaz,
    Ele
